It’s time again for another Brampton market update by MyBramptonLife.Ca. This time we are reviewing the market statistics for April 2015 compared to the same month of April in 2014. We will check how the prices have changed for all home types including: detached, semi-detached, freehold townhouses, and condo townhouses. The real estate market in Brampton is still scorching hot with plenty of active buyers and sellers trading properties on a daily basis. We’re sure that if you have been around Brampton lately, especially weekends, you’ve seen an abundance of open houses. It seems as if every street in the city has at least two open houses on the weekends. Even with this red hot market, buyers and sellers both are getting great deals on real estate.
In April 2015, Brampton had 1,568 new listings hit the market along with 1,141 active listings and a total of 1,030 sales for the month.
Last year in April, 2014 the average sales price for a home in Brampton was recorded at $441,079. The average home at $441,079 also included a list to sale ratio of 98% and was on the market for an average of 19 days.
This year in April, 2015, the average sales price for a home in Brampton is recorded at $483,288. The average home also was sold for 99% list to sale ratio and was on the market for an average of 18 days.

Summary: As a continuation of our summary from March, the market is still very hot, compared from the same time in April last year. Homes in April of 2015 are selling on average $42,209 more than they were last year. Also, they are selling at a higher list to sale ration (99%) and a day faster than they were previously. The sellers do still have the edge in the market at the moment, if they were to list their house, they would definitely be getting top dollar in this market. Buyers may think its a bit tough finding a good deal out there, but if you look in the right spots you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for.
